Billing Students Using Koala GoApr 07, 2022
There are many different ways you can get paid as an independent online teacher.
Did you know that Koala Go, the new kid-friendly Zoom alternative, allows you to invoice your students right from the classroom?
In this video, you'll see how the invoicing process works, and a step-by-step on how to do it!
Who can use Koala Go?
Koala Go can be used by any teacher and their students. It is accessible everywhere, to my knowledge, including China!
How much does it cost?
Koala Go has both a free and a paid version.
Tell me about the invoicing...
To start the invoice process, you will need to be on a computer. You can do this from both the free and paid version.
1. Click on the avatar in the upper right hand of your classroom
2. Click "send invoice"
3. Complete the information.
4. Click send!
What are the fees?
You will be charged 2.9% + 30 cents (Stripe fee) plus the Koala Go fee, which is 2% (total: 4.9% plus 30 cents)
You can choose to include this on the invoice for the student to pay the fees or not (up to you!)
How do they pay teachers?
You will be paid either using PayPal, Venmo, or Square Cash. Payments occur rather quickly (usually within 24 hours).
What methods of payment can parents use?
Students or parents of students can pay using their bank account, credit card, Apple Pay, or WeChat pay.
